It's back!

Join us on the grounds of Japan House and the University Arboretum on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 2:00 until dusk for our second annual Japanese festival, Matsuri. There will be Japanese food and drink, powerful drum performances by Ho Etsu Taiko, Tsugaru-shamisen performer Michiyoshi Sato, martial arts demos, fashion shows, yukata and cosplay dressing, bubbles and Pokemon face painting, tea ceremonies (SOLD OUT), Ikebana displays, Bonsai demonstrations and displays and more! Rain or shine.

Tickets available at the festival. Online ticket sales have ended.

While all events are free, tickets for food and drink are available for purchase. Buy them online now and pick them up at Will Call during the festival.

There will be a VIP tent for any Tomonokai members who donate $100+ a year to Japan House. Each membership entitles you two tickets for special Tomonokai cocktails (for those over 21) and a chance to have volunteers do the running for your food orders! If you are not already a Take level ($100) or higher Tomonokai member, you have the option to make a donation, or increase your existing donation, that day and still enjoy VIP status!
